Education and experience
Dr. Anna Milgramm earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY. She completed both predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at the Yale Child Study Center, where she received generalist training in psychological assessment, outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and specialized training in autism. Following her fellowship training at Yale, Dr. Milgramm served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center, where she provided clinical services, supervised psychology trainees, and conducted evidence-based training for families, schools, and community healthcare providers. Dr. Milgramm has also contributed greatly to the field through research, authoring studies in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at leading national conferences.

Dr. Milgramm is a clinical psychologist who provides strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and evidence-based care for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She specializes in treating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in youth and has specialized expertise in working with children and young adults with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism and ADHD. Her approach is rooted in genuine curiosity, warmth, and deep respect for each individual’s unique experiences. Above all, she strives to create a space where clients feel valued, supported, and understood while developing the skills to enhance their well-being and quality of life.
With extensive experience conducting comprehensive developmental and psychological evaluations, Dr. Milgramm takes a holistic approach to treatment. Her therapeutic work draws from behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and insight-oriented frameworks to help clients address a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, social difficulties, emotion dysregulation, and executive function challenges. When working with younger children, Dr. Milgramm incorporates play, interactive activities, and their personal interests to keep sessions meaningful and engaging. She also offers parent training sessions, equipping caregivers with tools to manage behavioral challenges at home and support their child’s development.
Dr. Milgramm has extensive training in the use of evidence-based interventions to improve social and functional outcomes for her patients. She regularly incorporates these programs in her practice, including Unstuck and On Target (an executive function curriculum for elementary and middle school-aged children with autism or ADHD), Facing Your Fears (an intervention for co-occurring anxiety symptoms in autistic children ages 8-14), RUBI Parent Training (a caregiver training program for parents of preschool and early elementary aged autistic children), and Children's Friendship Training/PEERS (social skill-building in individual sessions for elementary-aged children, adolescents, and young adults extracted from group-based interventions).
